Make-up Trend: Peachy, Summery Cheeks

Roses are so winter! Your skin looks instantly brighter and livelier with peach blush. Complement a neutral smoky eyes like Asin, by dusting a rich apricot color on cheeks. If your skin is fair, sweep a peach blush over areas the sun would hit (cheeks, nose, forehead and chin) to warm up your face.

Make-up Trend: Wispy Lashes

You don't need falsies to get ladylike lashes like Kareena Kapoor's. Use a lash tint instead of mascara, which can often lead to clumps and clusters. Apply Tarte 4 Day Stay Lash Stain, which coats the lashes in a long-lasting pigment that keeps them soft and separated.

Make-up Trend: Long-Lasting Red Lips

Priyanka Chopra rocked a smoldering, sexy red pout in the pages of Harper's Bazaar without a hint of smudging, bleeding or fading. To give your lips a lasting flash of red, fill them in entirely with MAC Lip Pencil in Cherry, which is waxier than lipstick and less likely to slide off the lips. Then top it with M.A.C Pro Longwear Lipcolor in Lasting Lust to finish.

Make-up Trend: Gorgeous Smile

Don't wait for your next dentist visit to get perfectly bright chompers like Deepika Padukone—try Crest Weekly Intensive Cleaning Toothpaste that smooths and polishes the surface of your teeth. You can also help the matter by avoiding tea, coffee, wine etc. To help them looking bright munch on vegetables, they're known to help lifting stains off of the teeth.

Make-up Trend: Long Lashes and Brown-Red Lips

Check out Priyanka Chopra's long luscious lashes on this month's cover of Harper's Bazaar. To give your eyes a bit more of a pop, place three or four single lashes, close to the outer corner of each eye. A full band of fake lashes don't look natural. To make your lips the focus of attention, use a flattering color of red that doesn't scream "red lips". For something like Priyanka's pucker apply NARS Rouge d'Enfer Lipstick.

Priyanka Chopra's TwitPics Her Favorite Things

Priyanka Chopra is on Twitter gorgeous ones! She recently posted a picture of 'A Few of Her Favorite Things' I definitely see a bottle of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, Marc Jacobs Eau de Parfum, a M.A.C Brush Roll with M.A.C Brushes inside and tons of M.A.C all over the table. If you've been reading this blog, y'all should know Ms. Chopra is quite the M.A.Caholic.

Make-up Trend: Pink Cheeks

For a gorgeous flush like Sonam Kapoor, use a sheer cheek stain. Sweep two strokes over the apples of each cheek and gently blend into the skin with two fingers using a circular motion, with the warmth of your fingers, the stain blends well and will stay on longer. Apply the same cheek stain on the lips, and finish off with some tinted lip balm and you're all set.

Make-up Trend: Frosty, Baby Pink Lips

Diya Mirza's make-up artists Bharat and Doris Godambe, gave her frosted lips an elegant update by toning down the icy element of her satiny pink lip color. To get this look, apply your favorite frosty lipstick then blot your lips with a tissue to remove some sparkle. Finally, smear Vaseline over your lips to give them a creamy (not shiny) appearance.

Kareena Kapoor's Look in Kambakkht Ishq

Kareena's eyes are well accentuated with different colors throughout the movie, make-up artist Mallika Bhatt added. ''For her glamorous look, I used metallic liners in colors like charcoal, blue, green, gray and played around with a lot of shimmer on her eyes. But what remained permanent for Kareena throughout the film was the creamy baby pink lip color that I have not used on anyone yet,'' Bhatt said.

Make-up Trend: Nude Lips

Ready to get naked? There's nothing indecent about it, at least not when it comes to a flesh-tone lip color like Neha Dhupia rocked on this month's FHM cover. Apply a lip gloss like NARS Turkish Delight and get creamy nude lips right away! The undertones of pink and peach make it a universally flattering nude lip on even the most pigmented lips.

Make-up Trend: Tighter and Smoother Skin

Lines, wrinkles, crow's feet; nobody wants to hear those words when it comes to their skin. One way to get smoother and tighter looking skin like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's is to increase the amount of your anti-wrinkle cream by applying it using a zipper method. Separate the area you're targeting with your thumb and forefinger of one hand, then apply the cream onto the wrinkle with the other hand using a back-and-forth sweeping motion.

Katrina Kaif's Beauty Secrets

Make-up Trend: Even Summer Tans

Sun-savvy beauties know that while sunglasses block harmful rays, they can also leave us with an unsightly pale ring around the eyes. If you want to sport wayfarers like Amrita Arora without getting raccoon eyes, evenly coat your face with a UVA/UVB-protecting self-tanner before leaving the house. This way you're in control of your tan while also protecting the exposed skin.

Anamika Khanna's Lakme Bridal Sutra Look #5

Face
Choose Silk Naturelle Daily Foundation in a shade closest to your skin tone. Blend this weightless foundation into your skin for a natural and luminous finish. Lightly dust Pure Rouge Blusher in Rose Crush or Ginger Surprise or blend both together to add a warm glow to your complexion.

Sweep the Eye Artist eyeliner across your upper eyelid in a thick, bold stroke. On the lower eye lid start half way along the eye and draw a line parallel to the upper one. The sharp, black outline will give you ultra-sensual, arresting eyes.

Lips
Define your lips with Glide On Lipcolor in Honey Crush. The creamy, sumptuous color keeps your lipstick from feathering out of bounds. Fill your lips with Enrich Matte Lipcolor in 263 for a soft and natural finish.

Make-up Trend: Dewy Skin

We're all prone to the greasies, especially in the summer, but reaching for the powder puff can leave you with a matte, muddy mess, along with a breakout. Instead, get a soft, natural sheen like Katrina Kaif by priming skin with an oil-absorbing lotion, like Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer, which contains light diffusers to camouflage imperfections, along with ingredients that soak up oil before you look too shiny.

The Latest Trend: Black Eyes, Lips, Nails

Sonam Kapoor in smoky eyes and black nails

Once believed to be the exclusive domain of goth or rock lovers, black has become one of the hottest beauty trends these days. From smoldering kohl-rimmed eyes to sultry black nails or even sheer black gloss on the lips for the more adventurous, this hue can look deliciously edgy. “Black is a classic, very similar to red in many ways. It requires a certain level of daring to be worn well. The hard-rock image of men in black lipstick and nails might have dissuaded women from experimenting with this look but all that is changing. If used well, black can be playful or classic and can easily be worn at all ages. Younger users can be bolder while others could try creating sophistication with black, using the hue in moderation and blending with other shades,” says Deepa Bhatia, product manager, Lancôme India.

When using black, the most important thing is to focus on one feature at a time and not overdo it to avoid looking garish. “Also, you can only carry off as much black as your personality allows”, believes Cory Walia. Finally, this shade is best left for the evening. As Charmaine Rao, make-up artist for Yves Saint Laurent puts it “black is glamorous after the sun sets.”

  • Nailing It
“If you’re using black on your nails, make sure your nails are cut properly. Worn on nails that are too long, it could look tacky. Too short nails could end up looking messy. So ensure that your nails are clean and neat,” says Xavier Bertrand, Chanel retail manager. Finally, top black nail polish with a transparent top coat makes the nails look glossy and finished, advises Charmaine Rao.

  • Lip Service
“Not very wearable, this trend is more suited for fashion make-up but if you’re daring enough to try it, wear nude lipstick with black gloss. Alternatively, you can use dark plum shades that look more subtle,” suggests Meeta Awatramani, training manager, Clarins India. “If you’re wearing black on lips, eyes and nails should be neutral. Use pinkish-beige shades on eyes with neutral colors and a French manicure on nails. Hair tied back in a chignon with a classic cocktail dress works well,” says Charmaine Rao.

  • Eye Do
The smoky eyes look is classic and eternally in fashion. Start with less, then intensify color gradually. Under-eye circles must be concealed perfectly first. Finish off the look with mascara to open up the eyes and intensify the effect. Awatramani’s pick is Clarins Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base. When using black on the eyes, always create a barrier of loose powder under the eyes to avoid spillage of color from ruining your foundation. Subtle and smooth shading with metallics—gold and silver—layered over the black looks ultra glam, Cory Walia says.
