Make-up Trend: Purple Shadow

For a radio appearance, Sonam Kapoor's eyes looked absolutely flawless. The look was dewy and fresh with emphasis on the eyes. To get the look, start with liquid liner on the top lashline and a touch of highlighting cream on the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes. Blend creamy eggplant shadow along the lids, then smudge plum liner along the bottom lashes. Apply a few coats of black mascara to finish the lush look.

Diya Mirza's Beauty Secrets [Vogue India]

MOISTURE FIX: I have combination skin, which can be both oily and dry, so I religiously moisturize twice a day with a water-based hypo-allergenic moisturizer I’ve discovered from a French brand Uriage.

DIVA DIET: I start my mornings with warm water and fresh lime to detox. When I eat simple food without too much spice and oil, my skin stays healthy. I eat lots of fresh and wholesome fruit and veggies. Anything in excess is a no-no.

RED CARPET ROUTINE: I like to keep it simple. I use a light coverage of M.A.C Studio Fix Foundation. I enhance my eyes with Bobbi Brown eyeliner, curl the lashes and then brush on mascara. I add a little shimmer from Make Up For Ever to highlight the cheekbones and finish with gloss from Bobbi Brown.

SHADY LADY: I don’t even step outside without sunscreen. Right now I’m using Vichy Capital Soleil with SPF 50, so my face stays protected for up to eight hours.

MUST HAVES: A tinted strawberry flavoured lip balm, a mascara and a technakohl pencil, all by M.A.C

HEAVEN SCENT: My signature fragrance is DKNY Be Delicious

GOING PRO: I insist on using professional makeup and carry my own kit everywhere. Unlike other actresses, I can’t use thick Kryolan panstick; instead I use a liquid base and translucent powder from M.A.C Pro. I first learned how to use make-up professionally.

Make-up Trend: Sheer Pop of Dark Red

Kangana Ranaut knows how to rock a cover, one look at the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine makes you wonder if she's related to Tyra Banks. She stunned us on the cover of Harper's Bazaar India this month. To get her look remember that sheer, creamy lipstick formulas allow you to flirt with red without making a huge statement. Apply color with a lip brush, working from center to corners. Clean up mistakes with a q-tip for a precise finish.

Make-up Trend: Heavily Defined Eye Crease

Rani Mukherji stunned us on the cover with her gorgeous hazel eyes defined and absolutely smoldering on us cover of L'Officiel India cover this month. To get her look, rim your eyes with black eyeliner. Use a dark brown pencil eyeliner to get a smudgy look on the lower lid. Then get a light brown eyeshadow & start at the base of your top eyelid (near the inner corner lashes), & blend upwards about a half-inch past the crease of your eyelid. Then blend a chocolate brow eye shadow shade to the crease, & then take a dark brown eyeshadow & blend it halfway to the crease, to really intensify the look. Finish off with some mascara and you're all set.

Kajol for Olay Total Effects

After Sushmita Sen and Katrina Kaif, Kajol has now been signed as an Olay ambassadress. I think she looks stunning in the new ads. Your thoughts? Who's your favorite of the three?

Make-up Trend: Innocent, Doe Eyes

The new ambassadress for PETA India was none other than Lara Dutta who looked fresh and absolutely beautiful, considering she was draped in lettuce leaves and mushrooms! To get her neutral look, fill in your eyebrows with a pencil the shade of your natural brow color. The idea is to make them look a bit thicker, but still natural. Blend a nude, an eyeshadow that's the color of your lids over your lids, stopping at the creases. Apply a bronzy shadow in your creases and blend the two shadows really well, to get a well sculpted shape. Rim your upper lids with liquid black eye liner smudging the color into your lashes. Apply a strip of natural false lashes or just apply 3-4 coats of mascara. Line your inner rims with white eye liner and finish off with some black eye kohl on the lower lids.

Make-up Trend: Smoky and Nude

Nude has never looked so good! This month's Grazia India cover girl Neha Dhupia shows us nude is anything but boring! To get her smoky eyes and nude lips combo, line your upper and lower lash lines with charcoal eyeliner. Next, blend charcoal and black eye shadows, and brush them over your eyelids, starting at your lash lines and stopping at the creases, next flick the ends out to give it a cat eye kinda effect. Dab a peach cream blush on the apples of your cheeks, and blend up and out toward your temples. Apply a flesh toned lipstick with a clear gloss on top.

Vogue India Beauty Report [May 2010]

Make-up Tip: A hint of kohl and brown eye shadow add to the mood.

Make-up Tip: Silver-gray eye shadow under the eyes and on the lids enhances the innocence.

Make-up Tip: Shimmering aqua eye shadow across the eyelids adds royal elegance.

Make-up Tip: Smudge a line of deep green kohl on the lower rim of the eyes. Go with a hint of smoky brown on the lids.

Make-up Tip: Bright pink blush on the apples of the cheeks brings a fresh, sun-kissed look. Add a touch of rose tinted gloss on the lips and add drama with your lashes with a lash-extending mascara.

Make-up Trend: Strong Brows

With structured curls and groomed eyebrows, Sonam Kapoor graced the cover of this month's issue of Marie Claire India. Strong brows were everywhere on the runways this season. To keep up with the trends, keep your eyebrows precisely plucked and set them each morning with a sweep of gel. Fill in any sparse areas with a matte powder, but choose a shade slightly darker than your natural brows to amp up the drama.

Make-up Trend: Cat-Eye Eye Shadow

Looking gorgeous on this month's issue of Elle India is Genelia D'Souza. Her gorgeous dress and artful lids popped! Rather than sweeping a light wash of powder on your entire lid, try something a little more dramatic: Dip your brush in water and draw the shadow up in the crease with steady, painterly strokes. Flicking it upwards slightly at the corners. Add a bright pop of color on your lips for a girly touch!

Make-up Trend: Plum Eyes, Lips and Nails

Looking plum-licious on this month's issue of Verve India, was none other than Lara Dutta. To recreate her all plum look, apply a plum-brown eye shadow from your upper lash lines to just above the crease (it really makes dark brown eyes pop!). Apply black eyeliner along your upper lashes and inner rims, and smudge a slate gray eye shadow onto your lower lashes. Apply two to three coats of mascara to your lashes. For the cheeks, dab a peach cream blush on the apples of your cheeks, and blend toward your temples. Before the lipstick apply a moisturizing balm to keep the lip color from bleeding. Then, beginning from the center, use a lip brush to apply a matte, deep plum lipstick. For the nails, apply a few coats of a deep plum nail polish to get a high-gloss and glam effect.

Make-up Trend: Grungy Smoky Eyes

At a special screening for I Hate Luv Storys, Sonam Kapoor sported some grungy smoky eyes. To get her look, blend a matte black and a shimmery gray eye shadow over your lids with a small eye-shadow brush, starting at your lashes and moving just beyond the crease. With the brush, line your lower lashes with the same color combination. Starting at the inner corner of your eye, trace a line of black eye liner along your upper lashes. Leave the lashes bare. Finish off with a pale pink lipstick.
