Make-up Trend: Red Lipstick

At the 2011 Filmfare Awards, Amrita Puri (who was in Aisha) chose to accent her siren red gown with precise crimson lipstick. The reason the pairing doesn't look too matchy matchy? Amrita kept the makeup on the rest of her face clean, she dusted a muted neutral bronze shadow along her top and bottom lashlines. The shadow added a glint of light and prevented the lipstick from being too severe.

Make-up Trend: Frosty Pink Lips

Looking futuristic-chic on this month's of Grazia India is Deepika Padukone. Her icy, petal pink lipstick at completed the look she was going for. We thought frosty shades went out with feathered bangs and contoured cheeks in the '80s, but Deepika made it modern by choosing a delicate shade and applying a thorough, nearly opaque coat. Leave it to this trendsetter to completely wow us!

Make-up Trend: Minimal Make-up

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked brilliant on the latest cover of Vogue India. Letting her Roksanda Ilincic jacket take centerstage, she is seen sporting minimal make-up. To get her look, apply a light brown eye shadow over your eyelids and along the crease up to just below your brow bone. Blend it along the hollow of the crease, extending to the outer corners of your eyes. Curl your upper eyelashes and apply two coats of black, lengthening mascara. Dab lips with a touch of foundation to create a more neutral base. To finish off, apply a rose-beige, matte lipstick.

Bridal Trends 2011 [Vogue India]

On the most important day of your life, transform into a bridal goddess everyone will remember for years to come. Say goodbye to over-the-top bridal make-up that will embarrass you every time you flip through your wedding album, and hello to the beautiful Indian bride with just the right amount of make-up. Take a cue from the lovely Deepika Padukone, who has a gorgeous take on bridal beauty with dewy cheeks, shimmery eyes and a glossy pout.

Get the look: Start with a clean and well moisturized face and apply a foundation primer to ensure your make-up lasts all through the ceremony. Use a creamy, long lasting concealer to cover any dark circles or blemishes. With light strokes, blend the foundation in circles over your skin to get an even base. Dramatic eyes and a bronzy skin make Deepika look like a perfect Indian bride. To achieve this, sweep some bronze-gold eyeshadow over your eye lids and draw an extended eye liner wing with a black eye liner. Create drama by lining your water line and draw a thick line close to your lower eye lid. Accentuate your eyes by using some fake eye lashes and sweep a coat of intense mascara. Create a bronze glow by using a blush on the apple of your cheeks and dust a bit of bronzing powder over your face for a glow-from-within complexion. A creamy lipstick and a coat of high shine gloss complete the look.

Make-up Trend: Layered Blue Eyeliner

At the Apsara Awards, make-up artist Mickey Contractor wanted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's eyes to really pop. He started with applying a creamy black pencil in the inner rims of her eyes. He then layered a blue gel liner (from his latest collaboration with M.A.C Cosmetics) in the lower lash line. It instantly added a boost of color in the most unexpected way, plus, it helped the makeup stay put for hours!

Make-up Trend: A Simple Cat-Eye

Shraddha Kapoor shows us on the latest issue of Elle India, cat-eye makeup doesn't have to be a complicated endeavor. A single upwards strike of black eyeliner can have huge impact—just be sure the curve of the liner falls just below the tail of your eyebrow. Set the liner with a dusting of translucent powder to help it stay put. Finish off with a coral lipstain!
